Audio/Video Quality: Slutty & Sluttier 23 was presented in anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel. The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Manuel focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry, the final scene using some arty-farty tease in the pool before someone came to their senses for the actual tryst. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Manuel's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing was often decent, the sexual chemistry enhancing the end product. The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is one of the most sought after performers in the industry, his directorial efforts at places like Evil Angel showing that he makes wise choices behind the camera as well as in front of it. His latest release making it my way for review is the upcoming Slutty & Sluttier 23, the series long established as a favorite for showcasing some of the best top notch talent available. This time, there was a cast comprised of curvy real life partner of the director Kayden Kross, sultry Lola Foxx, perky newcomer Aidra Fox, and Bree Daniels in one of her first male on female scenes (after playing with Kayden); the single disc treatment balanced out by the lack of filler scenes you’d find elsewhere. All of the ladies had some potential to shine, the three younger ladies more likely to draw the attention of younger fans while MILF Kayden showing her many fans she can be as slutty as she likes in hubby’s works, some fine potential all the way around. I can see why some fans are infatuated with the director/performer and I thought this earned a rating of Highly Recommended as a result, the decision to go with quality over quantity yet again working for the director, at least in terms of the ladies. I was surprised at who provided the weakest scene in terms of sexual intensity but the mutual chemistry partially made up for it, the lengthy BTS feature also helping to nudge the rating up a bit. From new mother Kayden Kross to the all natural trio of Aidra Fox, Bree Daniels, and Lola Foxx, each scene provided what I was expecting in the women. In short, Slutty & Sluttier 23 gave further evidence as to why Manuel Ferrara has become a “go to” performer for so many companies, his way with the ladies sure to enhance such a great cast but even in the other scenes, he did fairly well with directing his surrogates. The use of Kayden Kross in a divided scene with Bree Daniels and Manuel was an interesting change from the usual series format, splitting up a scene not typically to my liking, but as it was a first stab at something new, it was okay even if ultimately, it showed how hungry newcomers often excel in a way established performers don’t feel the need to as much, the end result still satisfying.
