Audio/Video Quality: Pornoromance 2 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as directed by James Deen for James Deen Productions. The ending credits mentioned the movie was shot by Sigard Jarlson and Danny Wylde, Danny also listed as the editor, the material captured using the RED camera system which was mounted in a stationary location not far from the large white crescent shaped couch each of the scenes were shot on. While the editing was a bit jumpy at times, the resolution and flesh tones were better than the director usually offers, the camera work an upgrade over James setting the camera down in stationary mode as he likes to do most of the time lately as well. There was no observed company watermark and the scenes were shot without a lot of verbal banter but also without tease, the heat of the resulting trysts varying depending on the players. The aural components were on the basic side too, the vocals easily heard in most cases, music used more often to set the mood before it was rapidly altered to suit the nature of the flick.

Body of Review: James Deen has been directing for James Deen Productions to distribute via Girlfriend Films for awhile now, some hits and other misses noted. His latest title for the company is called Pornoromance 2, the movie just coming out as a sequel to a flick last year. When I originally encountered the series, I focused on the “romance” portion and admit to being somewhat disappointed, the “porno” part resulting in James getting quite rough with the ladies, not all of whom seemed to appreciate it as much as others. Going in this time, I noticed the names of Penny Pax and Dana Vespoli, two attractive women that have proven to truly embrace rough sex and hardcore action, so I at least knew I would have some fun and see what the rest offered after that, Holly Hanna, Judas, and Holly Heart among the ladies given their moment of glory to shine. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Instead, all that footage was either left on the editing floor or contained in a short but separate BTS feature, the strength of each scene standing on its own merits to earn a rating of Recommended despite some serious misgivings I had about the lack of tease and the use of meat puppets other than the director himself with the ladies. On the flip side, the technical aspects were an upgrade over James setting the camera down to find out what was captured later and the ladies, such as Penny Pax, Dana Vespoli, the two Holly’s and Judas were all very much at home with the rough sex theme of the movie, Dana and Penny by far the best in that sense though the others kept up. In short, Pornoromance 2 was an improvement of the opening salvo of the series from last year and may continue to improve with time as long as the casting provides more consistently appealing partners, the extras modest but fun helping to make it work for me better this time.
