Audio/Video Quality: Anal Day 2 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director James Deen for James Deen Productions. In almost all of the footage, James simply set the camera down in a generic location and tried to work around the stationary spot, the lighting varying a good deal to where it sometimes washed out the flesh tones of the performers as described in the individual scenes. There was no company watermark on the screen and what editing was done was handled by Mrs. Myers and James but I think in most scenes, at least some more active camera work would have enhanced the final product. The passive camera work was pretty weak but the unsteady hand was worse, the issues with lighting and editing second to the amount of compression used to cram the lngthy movie on a single, dual layer DVD causing a lot of issues on the big screen television versus the smaller computer monitor (a case where the double disc approach could have helped a lot). The aural components were decently handled for such a project though, the vocals easily heard, the stereo not offering any obvious effects as such but not needed either. It should be noted that the front cover advertises that this is a double disc offering when there was only one disc.

Body of Review: James Deen is one of the “nest generation” performer turned directors, his works at James Deen Productions reflecting a willingness to try new things, the non-linear manner in which many of his creative impulses not always working out too well. His latest in for review is called Anal Day 2, a movie where he enjoyed some shapely backsides by tapping their asses, both newcomers and established vets alike engaging his love of anal sex. In each scene, the ladies get substantial time to verbally banter with the director before getting increasingly naked and frisky, James using this approach in other series as well. James hired Chanel Preston, Skin Diamond, Holly Heart, Mystica Jade, and Dolly Leigh, most of them proven anal talents in the field.
